The Valley of Flowers Trek is Uttarakhand’s most enchanting monsoon trek, leading you to a hidden world of vibrant meadows, rare Himalayan flowers, and snow-clad scenery in the West Himalayas. The trek takes you deep into the Valley of Flowers National Park at 3,600 m, where you wander alongside wild glacial rivers and colourful flower carpets, all set against the jaw-dropping backdrop of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and other famous Himalayan peaks.

The journey is more than just a floral wonderland. You’ll cross Ghangaria, a lively village that’s a base for this trek, and can hike further to the revered Hemkund Sahib (4,329 m), a breathtaking high-altitude Sikh pilgrimage lake surrounded by snowy summits.

Spot rare blooms like Brahma Kamal, Blue Poppy, the fabled Cobra Lily, and keep an eye out for Himalayan monals, musk deer, and even the elusive snow leopard.

By Air: Fly to Dehradun (Jolly Grant Airport), then drive to Joshimath/Govindghat.
By Train: Rishikesh or Haridwar, then onward road journey.
By Road: Regular buses/taxis from Haridwar/Rishikesh to Joshimath, then road to Govindghat/Pulna (trek starts here).
Local Transfers: Govindghat to Pulna by local jeep/taxi (4 km), then trek to Ghangaria.
Scenic drive through Devprayag, Karnaprayag, and Chamoli to reach Joshimath or Govindghat.
Short drive to Pulna; trek alongside rivers, waterfalls, and forests to vibrant Ghangaria village.
Walk into the heart of the Valley, immersed in wildflowers, meadows, river scenery, and picturesque bridges.
Steep, rewarding ascent to the famous Sikh shrine and alpine lake — unsurpassed for spirituality and mountain views.
