By Air: Fly to Shimla’s Jubbarhatti Airport. From Shimla, drive 6-7 hours to Rohru, then onward 1.5–2 hours to Janglik village (base camp).
By Train: Reach Shimla Railhead and continue by road as above.
By Road: Buses and taxis run from Shimla or Rohru to Janglik.
Meet at Shimla’s old bus stand early morning and begin a scenic drive along the crystal-clear Pabba River. Enjoy quaint Himachali villages and lush valleys before reaching the peaceful village of Janglik. Settle in and soak up the mountain calm.
Start your trek leaving behind golden wheat fields and charming huts of Diude. Climb gradually through dense pine and oak forests, then emerge into wide, rolling meadows. The trail's gentle ups and downs lead you to spectacular views and the tranquil Dayara campsite.
Explore the flower-filled meadows of Dayara before heading towards Litham. The route crosses streams and thick forests, offering mountain views from the ridge line. Arrive at Litham — a stunning meadow dotted with streams, framed by snow-capped peaks and the iconic Chandranahan waterfall.
Take the shepherds’ trail to the glacier-fed mystical Chandranahan Lake. Be mesmerized by its icy waters surrounded by snowy slopes and alpine wildflowers. After soaking in the views, retrace your steps down the steep trail to Litham. Start early to reach the lake by midday.
